Was in ER last night, adverse reaction to OTC medication, SVT along with virus. Blood work showed BNP at 215?? They didn't show concern. Is that ok?
BNP: Not sure why they checked your brain natiuretic protein levels but the normal values are 0–99 picograms per milliliter (pg/mL) or 0–99 nanograms per liter (ng/L). But tests can exceed so-called normal limits but can only be interpreted in the context of a clinical condition. An ER is not the best place to evaluate this. After 7 years of seizure medication, i'm told it's not seizures at all so i was taking it for nothing. What are the adverse effects from this?
Keep a level head: You need to be sure of the diagnosis. Sometimes it helps to get a second or even third opinion. If you do not require seizure meds and you are on one of the newer ones, chances are you will have had any significant set back other than perhaps financial if you had to pay much out of pocket for the meds.
