Should graduates of the oxford brookes school of osteopathy demand a refund?

Should graduates of the oxford brookes school of osteopathy demand a refund?

Very possibly : From my limited understanding of this matter, this is an osteopathic school in the uk that had serious quality control problems with its accreditation and educational curriculum. , the school had to add more instructors and have many students return for additional time of one year or more. Students decided to sue when faced with this prospect. Do school in uk only trains in adjustments curiously? ...Read more

Any medicine good for kids with school problems?

Any medicine good for kids with school problems?

Depends on Problem: I would need more specifics concerning the problems. If a kid is hyperactive or inattentive, the treatment will be different than if there is anxiety or depression. Also, if there are learning problems without emotional or behavioral problems, then treatment will focus on other things. Please feel free to write back with more details. ...Read more

How are allopathic and osteopathic medicine different?

OMT: Doctors of Osteopathic medicine in the US have very similar training to those of Allopathic medicine, in that they take the same courses and have same certifications and qualifications, but also take additional classes in Osteopathic Manupulative Treatment (also known as OMT). Im a teen and i smoked cigarette our school will have a drug test will it be positive or negative? im little bit scared

Likely negative: If you smoked a tobacco cigarrette, your teat should be negative. Drug tests do not traditionally check for nicotine or other byproducts of tobacco! If it was "hand made" or given to you, then anything goes and it could have a variety of srugs laced in there! Hope this helps! ...Read more

This isn't medical related, if I am interested in medicine what are the best undergrad schools to go to? I have straight A's in honors and ap classes.

You SURE you wanna?: Are you SURE you want to go into medicine? While grades are impressive, they do little good after 11+ YEARS (no exaggeration) of training, & the additional burdens now placed on doctors - you'll know law, business, & politics as much as medical science. Any undergrad institute that offers pre-med curriculum will suffice; an attached medical school helps, but choose based on where you feel comforta ...Read more

How can my school environment affect my response to drugs and alcohol?

How can my school environment affect my response to drugs and alcohol?

School environment: Trying to be "like" one's school peers can make it very tempting to use drugs and/or alcohol, if they are. This can be a real danger to you -- especially if as my colleague warns, you might have genetic vulnerabilities for alcohol or drug abuse. Using alcohol or drugs will distract from studies & other important activities. It can also impair your concentration, mood, and ability to relate. ...Read more

Is it usual to put a child on ADHD medicines only on school days?

If a child has a sufficient problem with attention and focus that he can's learn from his weekend experiences he needs meds. If he creats family difficulty because of the adhd, he needs meds for himself and his family. I havent seen children damaged by properly prescribed meds in 40 years. ...Read more
