Numbness in toes, knee joint pain, and lower back pain along with migraines. Any suggestions?

Numbness in toes, knee joint pain, and lower back pain along with migraines. Any suggestions?

The leg symptoms may be related to a disc compression some of the nerves that go down the leg. This may be more prominent in certain positions. Leg symptoms also may be due to referred pain from muscle or a disc. Also, not all headaches are migraines so it is important to have them evaluated. ...Read more

Somewhat different: Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that taken long term may require a proton pump inhibitor such as prilosec to prevent G. I. Problems such as ulcer. Arthrotec (diclofenac and misoprostol) contains diclofenac, also an N SAID but also misoprostil an older drug to protect the G.I. tract. How effective is mobic (meloxicam) in reducing swelling of the knee joint that causes pain in ostoarthritis?

Not much: While we often give "antiinflammatories" like candy to control pain and inflammation, the medications have only a very small affect on swelling. The majority of the benefits of the antiinflammatories are the pain-relieving aspects. They also have almost no affect on swelling inside the knee from osteoarthritis. Most of the fluid occurs from mechanical wear or bleeding within the joint. ...Read more
