Sounds like neck ...: pain... Maybe your friend has neck pain and needs a referral to a board certified orthopedic or neurosurgeon who has subspecialty interest or training in spine.In my 20+ years as an ORS( although I now primarily do shoulder and knee surgery) I cannot think of hearing or diagnosing cervical osteitis.( osteomyelitis, osteoarthritis, etc. yes) .
