Original Prenatal Formula Medication
Non medical tx: There are alternatives to medical treatment of snoring. You can try having your husband sleep on his side or stomach. This may decrease his snoring. Make sure he doesn't have any alcohol or take any sleep medicine prior to bed. While these can help you fall asleep, it relaxes your airway too much and causes snoring. Breathe-right strips help decrease nasal congestion and subsequently snoring. ...Read more
Various treatments: As we age, our eyelid skin thins and the fat surrounding the eyes bulge forward. The most common types of "bags" under the eyes are related to either too much fat bulging forward or too much redundant skin in the lower eyelid. The surgical approach depends on which of these is the culprit and thus a consultation with an ophthalmologist will help you decide how best to proceed. ...Read more

Hello. I am considering taking an adaptogenic formula but am cautious as I am taking thyroid and contraceptive medication. Is it safe to try?
Herbal supplements: I have occasionally used these "adaptogens" usually as a precursor to actual thyroid supplementation in patients with fatigue (associated with Hashimoto's thyroid disease). They are fairly safe, but consider rechecking your thyroid tests after a period of use. I doubt they will interfere with your contraceptives. Try lower doses and titrate gradually to avoid side effects (i.e. nausea). ...Read more
Is it ok I am taking bone-up superior calcium formula is a dietary supplement. Taking this instead of the medication alendronate sodium tablets 70 mg?
Osteopenia: Calcium is commonly not an issue as dietary calcium is often sufficient with most people's daily dietary intake. More commonly, osteopenia/osteoporosis is correlated with vitamin d deficiency. I'd have your calcium and vitamin d levels checked. Resistance exercises also help build stronger bones. There are side-effects to bisphosphonate therapy, but believed that their benefits outweigh the risks. ...Read more

Your psychiatrist,: Pediatrician & you need to discuss the benefits to you & your baby of your low-dose Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) vs. The potential risk to your baby. NO: No one and no disease is the same after being on medication, most of medical illnesses have no curative solutions, rather controlling and managing ones. When psychiatrists say that's your original symptoms returning after discontinuing medications, is that some sort of trick? Symptoms not as bad before
No, not a "trick": Sometimes it can be hard to distinguish between symptoms indicating withdrawal from medications, and those of the original complaint. If you're tapering medications & your symptoms are worse now than before the medications, it's possible that both situations are happening. Your doctor will work with you towards relief form your symptoms, and more lasting treatment of baseline issues. ...Read more

My formula fed foster baby has realy dark green almost black poop and its really runny. Is this normal? Also he was a drug and alcohol exposed baby
Yes: Dark green/almost black stools are indeed normal color for some infants. If the stools are totally black, ask doc to check for hidden blood. But just very dark green are okay, as are the various yellow, greens, oranges and browns. Bad color is pure white, totally black, or red bloody. (purple would be weird too, but I've seen that only after purple birthday cake!) also, runny is good for baby poo. ...Read more
