How can I help my husband he snores terribly is there a formula that does not require medication?

How can I help my husband he snores terribly is there a formula that does not require medication?

Non medical tx: There are alternatives to medical treatment of snoring. You can try having your husband sleep on his side or stomach. This may decrease his snoring. Make sure he doesn't have any alcohol or take any sleep medicine prior to bed. While these can help you fall asleep, it relaxes your airway too much and causes snoring. Breathe-right strips help decrease nasal congestion and subsequently snoring. ...Read more

How do you get rid of eye bags without any formula or medication?

How do you get rid of eye bags without any formula or medication?

Various treatments: As we age, our eyelid skin thins and the fat surrounding the eyes bulge forward. The most common types of "bags" under the eyes are related to either too much fat bulging forward or too much redundant skin in the lower eyelid. The surgical approach depends on which of these is the culprit and thus a consultation with an ophthalmologist will help you decide how best to proceed. ...Read more

Hello. I am considering taking an adaptogenic formula but am cautious as I am taking thyroid and contraceptive medication. Is it safe to try?

Herbal supplements: I have occasionally used these "adaptogens" usually as a precursor to actual thyroid supplementation in patients with fatigue (associated with Hashimoto's thyroid disease). They are fairly safe, but consider rechecking your thyroid tests after a period of use. I doubt they will interfere with your contraceptives. Try lower doses and titrate gradually to avoid side effects (i.e. nausea). ...Read more

Is it ok I am taking bone-up superior calcium formula is a dietary supplement. Taking this instead of the medication alendronate sodium tablets 70 mg?

Osteopenia: Calcium is commonly not an issue as dietary calcium is often sufficient with most people's daily dietary intake. More commonly, osteopenia/osteoporosis is correlated with vitamin d deficiency. I'd have your calcium and vitamin d levels checked. Resistance exercises also help build stronger bones. There are side-effects to bisphosphonate therapy, but believed that their benefits outweigh the risks. ...Read more

I have a 1 month newborn whom I formula feed and I also take 10mg Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) once daily. Is it safe to start to breastfeed her with this medication?

I have a 1 month newborn whom I formula feed and I also take 10mg Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) once daily. Is it safe to start to breastfeed her with this medication?

Your psychiatrist,: Pediatrician & you need to discuss the benefits to you & your baby of your low-dose Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) vs. The potential risk to your baby. Amphetamines pass easily into breast milk. It is an FDA Class C drug in pregnancy. There are no human studies on risk in pregnancy & lactation, but some exposed babies become irritable & sleep less. See CHADD. Org to explore ADHD coaching & environmental manipulations. ...Read more

How to relieve constipation for a 14day old newborn. Currently supplementing feeds with formula as I'm not producing enough although on medication. Changed formula from Nan to S26 hoping for bowel movement. Been giving 2 drops milk of magnesia?

Newborn constipation: Infant constipation is not common. Yet, your baby might have infant constipation if he or she has hard or pellet-like bowel movements and it appears difficult to pass. They do not have to have a certain number of bowel movements per day. If your newborn seems constipated, it is best to contact his or her doctor for advice. The normal amount of bowel varies depending on diet and age. ...Read more

Do antipsychotics stop working and return you to your original state before medications when discontinued? I am definitely not the same as pre medicat

When psychiatrists say that's your original symptoms returning after discontinuing medications, is that some sort of trick? Symptoms not as bad before

No, not a "trick": Sometimes it can be hard to distinguish between symptoms indicating withdrawal from medications, and those of the original complaint. If you're tapering medications & your symptoms are worse now than before the medications, it's possible that both situations are happening. Your doctor will work with you towards relief form your symptoms, and more lasting treatment of baseline issues. ...Read more

Can I take stuartnatal tabs or one-a-day women's formula tabs as prenatal during pregnancy?

Stuartnatal: The prenatal vitamins are always your best bet. They are going to have the higher concentration of Folic Acid and iron. They will also have a higher level of thyroid.
If you are going to use over the counter prenatals, I always recommend walgreen's pharmacist select prenatals with dha. This is a plant-based dha. So no mercury, and no burping up fish oil. ...Read more

Eye/Vision:I am about ready to take AREDS2 for dry AMD. Other companies add omega 3 to original B&L clinical trial formula. Stay with AREDS2 or change?

Check pricing: AREDS2 has proven value for slowing the progression of dry AMD. Omega 3 does not although it might help with eye dryness. Check out the extra cost of the AREDS2 with omega 3 and see if Omega 3 supplements alone add less cost. You might save money although the benefits for macular degeneration are doubtful. ...Read more

Please help docs! Is oxyelite pro original formula the one that messes up your liver?

OxyElite Pro: In 2013, there were reports of hepatitis, severe enough to hospitalize almost 50 people, three of whom needed a liver transplant and one of whom died, after taking Oxyelite Pro. My formula fed foster baby has realy dark green almost black poop and its really runny. Is this normal? Also he was a drug and alcohol exposed baby

My formula fed foster baby has realy dark green almost black poop and its really runny. Is this normal? Also he was a drug and alcohol exposed baby

Yes: Dark green/almost black stools are indeed normal color for some infants. If the stools are totally black, ask doc to check for hidden blood. But just very dark green are okay, as are the various yellow, greens, oranges and browns. Bad color is pure white, totally black, or red bloody. (purple would be weird too, but I've seen that only after purple birthday cake!) also, runny is good for baby poo. ...Read more
