I Can not provide: Information about this specific product but can discuss green tea in general. The leaves contain antioxidant polyphenols. Studies show that the polyphenols in green tea have an anti-carcinogenic effect as well as leading to a reduced heart disease death rate. The linus pauling institute reported a study that suggested that green tea can assist with glycemic control. A study by maastricht. ...Read more
Limited data: Since the extract dose contain small amounts of caffeine one could suffer the same side effects that others note from caffeine intake. Additionally, the chlorogenic acid which is one of the major chemicals in the extract, may also play a laxative role(as it is found in prunes too) and lead to some diarrhea. Overall very limited data is available in this regards. Best of luck. ...Read more
Relates to beliefs: There are many claims made that certain teas can 'detoxify' and cleanse various organs of the body. There is no well done research that confirms or denies this. So, it really comes down to one's belief about whether or not something will help them feel healthier. Trust in the source of info can go a lot further than the product itself. I'm not aware of any significant side effects of teas. ...Read more

Chronic laxative use: "irritant" purgatives cause: melanosis coli (reversible pigmenting of colon lining) which is often seen with chronic senna use, cathartic colon ("floppy" colon with limited muscle tone), & soap or chemical colitis (acute inflammation within hours of "cleansing" enema). Does using gripe water along with dentinox colic drops for babies have side effects? Sedative? Harmful?
Usually ok: Doctors usually don't give babies any medications, even over-the-counter items, unless there's good benefit. A mom can bring the items to the doctor to check the ingredients, but a little bit of a trusted brand of gas drops and gripe water drops are ok to try. They may or may not help any colicky symptoms. If they don't seem to help, then they shouldn't be used. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Real: This is a very pricey mix of things; psyllium will bulk your stools and senna is a laxative. Claims for acai haven't stood up to examination and i doubt that mango is a real appetite suppressant. But the first two will make your gut feel different and give you the idea you've eaten something magic -- the principle of the "active placebo." it's your money. ...Read more
Is slim-vie a safe herbal wt loss product? Ingred: amylum, mulberry leaf extr, jobstears seed, cassia seed extr, bitter orange extr.? Long-term use?
Don't use it: Garcinia cambogia is in most weight loss supplements, and can cause liver failure. It was also used in Hydroxycut which was taken off the market as people died from using it. I see a handful of patients per month with abnormal liver tests after using this medicine. I would NOT recommend it. There is no "magic pill" for weight loss. Diet and exercise remain the #1 way to lose weight and keep it off ...Read more

PDE-5: These are brand names for products that are not available in the US. However, the first one (Vigoro) seems to be another name for Viagra (sildenafil) which is used to treat pulmonary hypertension and erectile dysfunction. The others appear to be herbs/supplements - so they do not have an approved use as prescription medicine(s). Hope that helps! ...Read more
