Not licensed I looked up my dr. And it says he is not licensed. What does that mean?

In: In the state of florida, an unlicensed physician is defined as "a person holding a degree as a medical doctor or its equivalent, but not licensed by the board of medicine. For the purpose of administering this rule chapter, such unlicensed physicians shall embrace and include interns, resident physicians, assistant resident physicians, fellows in fellowship training which leads to subspecialty board certification, and house physicians as these terms are hereinafter defined."
your doctor may be in a training program. If your doctor works for a federal facility (military treatment center or veteran administration medical center) normally there is not a requirement to be licensed in the same state.
I think the most frigthening situation is when someone says that they are a qualified physician but they have not completed medical school (or similar training) and they have never been licensed to practice medicine. In that situation the person would not be considered to be a physician, they would be considered to be a fraud. ...Read more

Of course, you might get lucky and save money but it is like a casino. ...Read more

I recently went to a non-licensed acupuncture place 8 months ago. Tested for hiv. Is this test conclusive, what to do?

I recently went to a non-licensed acupuncture place 8 months ago. Tested for hiv. Is this test conclusive, what to do?

Should be accurate: There is a “window period” during which a person who is infected will not yet have a positive HIV test result. This is because it takes a while for the body to develop antibodies to the hiv. An HIV test can show infection in most people within 3 months (average of 25 days to build HIV antibodies). A 3 month negative test may be repeated at the 6 month point to pick up on the rare situations in >. ...Read more
