What to do about oral verruca plana treatment (flat warts)?

What to do about oral verruca plana treatment (flat warts)?

Flat warts: These viral skin infections are a nuisance, and of course unsightly, which is why we seek treatment. You can see a dermatologist, who has the best tools to deal with these. Or you can try something over the counter, such as a wart formula or wart remover. I am a fan of 'occlusive therapy'- if the wart is out of the way and you can stick the cloth part of the BandAid over it for a while. ...Read more

What are the symptoms of oral HPV? Are the lesions/warts painful? Is there any over the counter treatment for them like creams/pills...etc? Help

What are the symptoms of oral HPV? Are the lesions/warts painful? Is there any over the counter treatment for them like creams/pills...etc? Help

Usually no symptoms: Oral HPV infections are not rare, but a lot less common than genital ones. Almost all oral HPV infections are asymptomatic and invisible: no warts, bumps, pain, burning, or anything else. When warts do appear, they are painless bumps, often with a "cauliflower" appearance. There are no recommended OTC treatments. Happily, oral HPV is rarely dangerous. If you suspect oral warts, see your doctor. ...Read more

Do warts comeback after treatment?

Do warts comeback after treatment?

They sure can...: You can use the liquid nitrogen, liquid nitrous oxide (this is what i like to use), topical acids, dermal scraping. You can also try oral Cimetidine (400 mg three times a day for 12-16 weeks). This is very safe and had the side effect of getting rid of warts for many people of adult size and weight (japma november 1, 1995 vol. 85 no. 11 717-718 ). For excisions, I use radiowave surgery. ...Read more

What is cantharidin wart treatment?

What is cantharidin wart treatment?

Cantharidin: Your doctor "paints" cantharidin on your wart and covers it with a bandage. This is generally painless. The cantharidin causes the skin under the wart to blister, lifting the wart off the skin. When the blister dries, the wart comes off with the blistered skin. You may feel some pain when the skin blisters. When you see your doctor again, he or she will remove the dead skin and may retreat. ...Read more

I have two small warts on my fingers. Please suggest some medicine or home treatment.?

Usually leave alone: Warts often disappear on their own. I frown on home treatment because I have seen the disasters cause by this. If one does not know what they are doing, harm can come. There are tendons and joints on the fingers and they can be harmed. See a doctor and get the warts either injected, frozen, chemically treated or even perhaps :"burned" or lasered off or other treatment. Dermatologist r the 1. ...Read more
