Can herpes that causes innocent oral fever blisters & cold sores be sexually transited to someone else as genital herpes?
Herpes - HSV1 & HSV2: Yes - unfortunately there can be cross over between the 2 different types of herpes. These viruses are always adapting and looking for 'new opportunities' and although traditionally, HSV-1 kept to the mouth/nose and HSV-2 kept to the genital tract, there can be 'back and forth' transmission of these viruses in susceptible patients. This is a reminder to keep ALL safe sex practices in mind! ...Read more

So my temp orally was 99.2 but. My alxiary temp was 99.3 so adding a point. Would. Make it.100.3 right so what do I go by oral or axillary? Fever?
Not sure: Fever blisters or hsv I viral outbreaks can be shortened by immediate use of zovirax, (acyclovir) but if not taken before 48 or so hours into it, it will be of little benefit. I do not know the specific body clearance for the drug, but as it is dosed every 4 hours, I imagine it is cleared rapidly. Medication most helpful if you feel an outbreak coming on, waiting only reduces effectiveness. Good luck! ...Read more

Yestarday my gf did oral sex to me and today she have fever and oral infection, why? Do I have a STD or something?
Hope you don't: What are the chances that you acquired an STD from someone? You would likely know if you had gonorrhea. But, timeline seems too rapid for her to have developed an STD from oral sex within a matter of hours. Her oral infection was likely brewing & non-symptomatic when you had sex. ...Read more
I have oral hair leukoplakia and fever, lymphnodes. Etc but HIV PCR RNA 5, 15 week; HIV ab 8, 13, 28, 33 weeks all neg, am I HIV free?? Ebv is caus?
Could be-: If repeated HIV testing is (-), and oral hairy leukoplakia (OHL) is present, then you don't have HIV. You have another type of viral infection. EBV is certainly a leading diagnosis- there are specific blood tests that can determine if you have an active or past infection. If the OHL is a soft diagnosis, consider other viruses such as Cytomegalovirus (CMV) and Human Herpesvirus-6 (HHV-6). ...Read more

Jitteriness: In babies as dr large said can be common. I would usually however recommend a doctor check as can be a nonspecific sign of illness. I would also be surprised if the oral thrush was the cause of the fever. If examines normally this can be somewhat reassuring. If in doubt then usually further assessment and observation can be arranged and this usually sorts things out. ...Read more
Is a recall temp of 99.5 after showering and putting on heavy clothing a fever. It happened around 9 am and oral temp was 98.2. Fever or not?
Maybe yes, maybe no: Our temperature fluctuates throughout the day, and varies depending upon your physical activity, the environmental temperature, clothing, time of day, etc. I suggest that you 'treat the symptoms, not the fever'. In other words, if you feel well, don't worry, but if you have symptoms of illness, address the symptoms. ...Read more

I feel feverish, but no fever. My temp was 98.8 -99 (oral) possible? My body is warm except my palms and feet?
Doctor can evaluate: Such symptoms are not specific for any one problem, so a doctor (primary care) should evaluate if the symptoms don't go away quickly, or if they happen again or increase in severity. Sometimes, mild viral infections can cause people's "non-specific" symptoms. Other times, there is actually something else going on inside the body (lab tests may be needed). ...Read more
Is 37.3 celsius rectally considered a fever for 2 months old baby? What are the fever guidelines for oral, rectal, ear and head scan?
99.1 is fine if...: It gets too confusing to think of different numbers in different locations. The simple way to look at it is: if the baby is happy and behaving normally, then any temperature <100 is ok. That means call any temperature a fever if is 100 or more, an any location. If the baby is newly unhappy or starts behaving oddly, then the doctor should be called, regardless of what the temperature is. ...Read more

Herpes vs HPV: Fever blisters are cause by herpes simplex virus (hsv). Although hsv can be an std, most of us have been exposed to hsv since childhood. These eruptions are cold sores or fever blisters that usually happen on the lips & around mouth. It is possible to get an hsv lip infection from oral sex with a person who has hsv. Genital warts are caused by human papilloma virus (hpv), a different virus. ...Read more

Yes: The activity is low-risk for you as far as HIV transmission. However, doing this stuff can get you a case of gonorrhea, and you can make friends with the wrong people. You may also be contributing to this mistreatment of the person who provided the services if you obtained this through a syndicate. Depends: If you caught the disease early, in stage 1 with the initial fever and rash, fever should resolve within a couple of days of starting the antibiotic. If the disease had progressed further before treatment was initiated, it may take a lot longer to become fever free - even 10-14 days. Make sure you don't skip doses and let your doc know if any new symptoms or you're not feeling better. ...Read more
