Photo documentation.: A black/ blue spot under the nail in a 16 year old is probably nothing more than a bit of dried blood trapped under the nail. This could be the consequence of a minor bump of the toe of a pressure injury. Without actually seeing it, I guess it could be something else, but I doubt it. This happens: sometimes from the nail polish. I would not reapply any polish, I would also prophylacticaly apply a topical anti fungal agent. Even, tea tree oil would be good. ...Read more

Discovered one white: White discoloration usually comes from fungal infection , black could be from fungal infection/dry blood/very rarely skin cancer. It is best to see a podiatrist to get examined, possibly cut back the toenail and get sample of the nail for culture and possibly biopsy of the skin under the toenail, if needed. ...Read more

Fungal infections of the nail tend to be associated with yellowish, thickened nails.
