Red doesn't diagnose: Red is but one thing we look at when visualizing an ear drum. Red alone does not an ear infection make. An ear drum can be red if child has fever, is crying, holding breath, etc. We also look at landmarks, how the light reflexes, whether the ear drum moves, whether there is fluid behind the drum. All the things together make the diagnosis. If you are concerned, best to have doc look to diagnose. ...Read more

Injury to ear canal: The ear canal is easily injured by inserting anything into it. It is likely that you scratched the delicate skin with the ear bud, causing bleeding. If bleeding continues for more than a few minutes, or there is any hearing loss, or significant pain, the ear should be examined by a physician. Otherwise, it would be advisable to keep water out of the injured ear for a few days, and no ear bud. ...Read more

How long could it usually take for DLE (if at all)to develop into SLE? .Blood test and urine OK. Biopsy soon. Red patch in ears and scalp steroid working.
It usually doesn't: If you feel well, and the labs aren't worrisome with any of the specific antibodies characteristic of systemic lupus, you'll probably only have to worry about the discoid lesions which -- if that's really what it is -- can be troublesome enough. You: You need medical attention. The coffee ground vomit is likely due to your nose bleed. The blood becomes oxygenated in the GI tract which gave it this appearance. The blood when you blew your nose, is likely to be from the lesion that is the source of your nose bleed. It needs to be determined why you are continuing to bleed vaginally. You appear to be bleeding several different sites. Sometimes, if the nose bleed is not stopping, it might need treatment (like cautery).
