No Problem Here: Hydrochlorthiazide if taken with Ibuprofen will increase the blood level of ibuprofen by acidic drug competition for renal tubular clearance. But the dosage of both the meds you are taking is so small as 1 advil only has 200 mgm of ibuprofen and it will not cause any problem and may make advil more effective for pain. And 12.5mgm od Hydrochlorthiazide is also a small dose. Discuss with your doctor.

Are there any side effects to taking 1 Advil (ibuprofen) 3 times a day for a month?

I use to have bad period cramps as a teen. Now I get bad cramps in some cycles&the pain is 1 day, advil works for me. Should I test for Endometriosis?

Low risk: Usually cramping and pain from endometriosis increases with time, starts before menses start and persists for several days, and may also involve pain with urination and stooling. If you have not having cramping every cycle and are getting relief with Advil, it is unlikely that you have endometriosis.

How many Advil (ibuprofen) can you take in one day?

How many Advil (ibuprofen) can you take in one day?

6 TO 8 A DAY: It depends on what you are taking advll for. The maximum prescription dose if tolerated by some is 3200 mgm that is 16 200 mgm tab of advil but that is under medical supervision by prescription by a physician who knows the reason you are prescribed the drug so for over the counter I will suggest do not exceed 6to8 tablets per day, that is if you can tolerate it.

Is getting a stomach ache after taking one 200 mg Advil (ibuprofen) pill normal? I've been nauseous all day should I be worried?

Is getting a stomach ache after taking one 200 mg Advil (ibuprofen) pill normal? I've been nauseous all day should I be worried?

Not normal but: ........ acute gastric irritation with stomach symptoms after 1 dose of Advil (ibuprofen) does not occur 99% of the time BUT....if you had been drinking alcoholic beverages within 24 hours the odds change. Consider abstaining from all alcohol and Advil (ibuprofen) products for 24 hours. Over the counter antacids (ask your pharmacist) can help to reduce symptoms. The stomach heals rapidly: see MD if in 24 hr not well

Can I take 4 Advil (ibuprofen) at one time?

Depends.: If the advil (ibuprofen) are 200 mg Ibuprofen and you are an otherwise healthy person with no contraindications. No pregnancy, no GI bleeding, no renal insufficiency. That is a prescription dose and we only recommend high doses like that with professional counsel. It's better to stick with the dose on the bottle unless your personal physician has instructed you otherwise. High dose nsaids have risk.

If I took 800 mg of Advil (ibuprofen) pm one time then will it be okay? Will anything happen to me?

If I took 800 mg of Advil (ibuprofen) pm one time then will it be okay? Will anything happen to me?

Should be fine: You should be fine. 800 mg is the maximum dose to be taken by adults at any given time. That dose can be irritating to the stomach so if it wasn't too long ago eat some food to buffer any possible irritation. This high of a dose shouldn't be taken on a regular basis over a long period of time as it can harm the kidneys. This dose should have offered pain relief, assuming that is why you took it.

A: A number of things should be noted from your questions. First - it is generally not a good practice to take medication, whether "over-the-counter" or prescription, from someone else. Even well intentioned friends may not know important details of your medical history that may make it unwise or dangerous to use certain medications. Second - "tylenol" is a brand name for acetaminophen, and "advil" is a brand name for ibuprofen. Although both of these medications can be used for fever or pain reduction, they are different types of medication. Whether either of them is safe or correct for you to use could only be determined based on your medical background: important facts would include medications you may take for chronic conditions, and any history of allergies or intolerance of other medications. Third - there are many online "pill identifier" websites now; but the medication you are referring to may not be referenced since it is an over-the-counter product. Better to consult with your physician about what medications are right for you, and take only medication that you can verify by it's source bottle or package.
