Whenever: to my knowledge those teo medications wont interact so you dont have to wait. also if you are needing triptans for headache then you may benefit from taking a med every day to prevent the headache. butterbur is an over the counter supplement that can prevent migraines. several safe meds are also effective. ...Read more

IV is faster onset: IV (intravenous) vs. IM (intramuscular) are different ways this drug can be administered. Based on pharmacologic references the effects of Zofran (ondansetron) typically peak at end of IV infusion and typically peak around 30 mins for IM injection.
