If a child has an illness that leads to B12 deficiency, that child can take B12 orally or via shots, depending on the doctor's advice. Injecting a child with B12 to try to affect the language delay, but who is not deficient in B12, is hopefully not the case here. We don't poke kids unless there is a very good reason. ...Read more

How long will a medicated bipolar manic last for a 54 year old male. He is treated for this the first time and it is lasting already for a month?

Unclear?: I am wondering if your question is, how long will a particular medication last? It is not really possible to say without knowing the name of the medication. It is very important, i think, to be in close contact with the person's psychiatrist, especially since you say there are already good results. Best of luck. ...Read more

89 year old with symptoms of dementia; on 10 mg daily inderal; is there an appropriate alternative. She had adverse reaction to atenolol years ago. ?

Yes: The main question is whether her hypertension is adequately managed with inderal (propranolol). If it is managed appropriately it is unlikely that 10 mg of Inderal (propranolol) is causing adverse effect on her brain.
