Have been prescribed Omeprazole for gastitis but why have I been prescribed 1 x 20mg twice a day, not 2 x 20mg once a day as per the info on the box?
I've been prescribed omeprazole 20mg for acid reflux long term, what are the concerns taking continually for years on end?
I take 20mg citalopram a day, is it ok to take this medication along with the 20mg of omeprazole I am prescribed daily, i am. 20 year old male?
Yes and No.: There is a drug interaction between the two meds involving the cyp2c19 enzyme. This may or may not be clinically significant. How often should a man in his late 50's have a colonoscopy? I'm prescribed omeprazole as the first one found one benign polyp deemed adenomatous

Btw, Omeprazole inhibited polyps in rats; the same has not been found in humans, but Omeprazole can cause gastric polyps! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Last week I was prescribed Omeprazole. I have been having bouts of nausea ever since. I have also been having migraines. Not sure if its because of it?
I have been prescribed omeprazole 20mg, it that to strong of a dose, as I don't have many bouts with reflux and heartburn as I originally did?
The usual dose.: 20 mg of omeprazole is an average dose. Very often patients need to remain on maintenance therapy to keep acid reflux under control. A lot of patients who cut back the dose or discontinue it will have their symptoms recur rather promptly. Talk to your doctor about how long you should stay on the medicine. Antireflux measures help also. Good luck. ...Read more
I have been using Valium recreationally and have just been prescribed omeprazole for a stomach compliant. Is it safe to take the omeprazole.?
Prescribed omeprazole. Can a build up of acidity cause pressure/bloating? Also have a kidney infection with pressure in my back.
Yes pressure occurs: Hyperacidity could cause pressure in the lower chest and upper abdomen to the extent that it may act as if it is an angina pain. Bloating could occur, too. If you have kidney infection, you need to see a doctor or a nurse practitioner to get antibiotics. Pressure in the back may suggest increasing of the urine infection into a kidney infection. ...Read more
