Is there any interaction between gabapentin and omeprazole if taken on same day? Or can it be safely taken on same day on regular basis

Is there any interaction between gabapentin and omeprazole if taken on same day? Or can it be safely taken on same day on regular basis

Not a problem: Gabapentin is metabolized via the kidney and has no appreciable drug-drug interactions in most cases. It is fine to take these two medicines together, and would be rather unique to have severe adverse problems with this combination. Read more

Can I take levothyroxine and omeprazole together without interactions?

Can I take levothyroxine and omeprazole together without interactions?

Maybe but it depends: Neither epocrates. Com nor drugs. Com found any drug-drug interactions. Several new studies suggest that levothyroxine is best when taken on an empty stomach at night. In truth, as long as you're consistent w/your dosing regimen, we can always adjust your dose when monitoring your labs (via tsh). Ask your pharmacist for his/her opinion (they're specialists in drug timing & interactions). Read more

Is there is any Lexapro (escitalopram) interaction with omeprazole (prilosec)?

Is there is any Lexapro (escitalopram) interaction with omeprazole (prilosec)?

Probably not but...: Omeprazole can inhibit an enzyme in the liver that breaks down lexapro (escitalopram). Thus, levels of Lexapro (escitalopram) can theoretically increase when used in combination. I have not seen this in practice but it is described and should be monitored for, especially if you take a higher dose of lexapro (escitalopram). Read more

Does omeprazole oral taken 4 hours after taking ondansetron have any interactions that I should be concerned with?

See your pharmacist: These medications can generally be safely taken together. However, your local pharmacist is an excellent resource for this kind of question. Been prescriebed piracetam. Do it have an interaction with diazepam? Does it reduce diazepam's effects or does it have interactions with it?

DrugDrug Interaction: Piracetam is not an fda approved medication in the states and thus I could not find it in my usual spot: www. Drugs. Com. It's always best to tell your doc everything you're taking, whether prescription or over-the-counter. Also include dietary supplements. Be sure to list everything, including flagyl, Levofloxacin ; clonazepam. We don't recommend taking both Clonazepam ; diazepam together. Read more

Is there a drug interaction for Ceftin (cefuroxime) and Omeprazole? I am on ceftin (cefuroxime) 2x daily and Omeprazole 40mg daily. Can they be taken together?

Is there a drug interaction for Ceftin (cefuroxime) and Omeprazole? I am on ceftin (cefuroxime) 2x daily and Omeprazole 40mg daily. Can they be taken together?

Med interactions: According to a drug interaction check, the absorption level of the Ceftin (cefuroxime) may be affected by lowered stomach acid which is what omeprazole does. It appears that any medication that lowers the acid would have this affect (for example, Zantac or Pepcid). This would reduce the effectiveness of the Ceftin (cefuroxime). You may want to discuss this with the doctor who prescribed the Ceftin (cefuroxime) or your pharmacist. Read more

Can I take omeprazole 20mg if I am currently taking librax (clinidium and chlordiazepoxide) with cilidium for IBS and mild gastritis. I heard there is interaction between two medicine?

Yes be careful: Omeprazole can cause elevated serum levels of benzodiazepines. Main effect would be over sedation with the librax (clinidium and chlordiazepoxide). Ask your doc!: Seriously! Always tell your prescribing docs everything that you're taking, both prescription & otc, whether they prescribed it or someone else did.
