I have nose bleeds every morning, facial pain,& Nasal Congestion all year.I've been getting headaches too. I've tried RHINOCORT, Claritin, & flonase.

Probably not: Allergic rhinitis is an immunological disease caused by mast cell degranulation and the release of mediators of inflammation, especially histamine. I suppose it is possible that mast cell inflammatory mediators could alter blood pressure. Also another possibility is anxiety caused by the presence of severe allergic response. Allergist or ENT: Your nasal symptoms can very well be due to the drugs you are on, lexapro, geodon (ziprasidone) or trazodone, all can cause dry mucus membranes hence dry nose, trazodone can cause nasal congestion too, when seen please mention that you're on those medicines, meanwhile, please keep using saline nasal wash liberally, for an allergist, check aaaai.org or acaai.org for an allergist in your area, good luck, ...Read more

Nose bleeds: It is the winter and it is possible your nares have dried out and cracked. Consider using a saline spray and see if this fixes the problem. If the bleeding is only from one nostril always and you cannot see the source of bleeding consider ENT appt to make sure there is no abnormality. Can post nasal drip on 7mo cause coughs? Started w/runny nose. Humidifier, saline & bulb syringe used. Cough AM & PM. Bronchiolitis risk? Nebulizer?
When blow nose, mucus is bloody. Lots of yellow-green postnasal drip. Some wheeze. No fever. Take Dymista, Allegra, singulair, (montelukast) qvar, and Ventolin. It's not allergy. Sinusitus? Go see primary care or wait it out?

Many meds: At your age (or anyone else for that matter) taking five medicines and wanting another one is not smart unless your doctor has told what medical problems you have. Allergies/sinuses, 33f, nose runs nonstop, taking Claritin (loratadine) doesn't help. Can i take a zrytech also? Or would sudafed w/ pseudoephedrine help?
Allergies: Your nasal symptoms will respond best to a prescription nasal steroid. Antihistamines seem of limited value in your case. Consider seeing an allergist to achieve adequate control of your symptoms. ...Read more
