My 5 month old daughter has had some loose stools. No fever, eating normally, and active. She has a red bottom, relieved with diaper cream. Could it be teething?
Maybe: I can be hard to determine the exact cause of an infants symptoms... It might be related to teething or it might be a cold. Please monitor your child closely and give palliative care: 1. Cold compresses 2. Children's tylenol (acetaminophen) per the label's directions. 3. Maintain hydration, plain water is ok. 4. Call your pediatrician if the fever increases or persists for more than 3 days. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

My 11 mnth old will not lay flat on his back at all, he screams & fights it until he wins the battle. I have to change diaper while he stands. ?
Variable number: In infancy, we expect kids to urinate on a regular basis every 4-6 hours, day or night. The super absorbent diapers sometimes make this hard to monitor as many small voids are drawn into the dehydrating crystals in the diaper fluff. In hospitals we routinely weigh the diaper to determine output. Kids who like to drink often may go more but i worry when they go < once every 6hrs. ...Read more

2 year old kicks and screams every time he gets his diaper changed.. Is this just a phase? He doesn't seem bothered any other time
Just being a 2 year : 2 year Olds have figured out they can sometimes get what they want through kicking and screaming, especially if they have wimpy parents.
