I was tipsy for 4 hours on ½ a glass of wine with food (160 lb female, never drank before). Is there something wrong with me?
Drink Responsibly: There is nothing wrong with you. Tolerance to the effects of alcohol build up over time, which is why people often need to drink more and more to get the same effect. The less you drink, the less you need to get the same effect. While much has been written about sulfites in wine (antibacterial), there is no good evidence that this is the culprit; there are many biological active compounds in wine and any one of them could be a culprit for any person; some say delectus wines are diffe. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
