Oily Skin But No Acne
I have open pores on my cheek area what should I do to minimize them. I have really oily skin but no acne.
Information: There isn't a whole lot that really works well. You might try Retin-A cream. It requires a prescription.
Benzoyl peroxide: Use this for two weeks, as much as you can tolerate. If this doesn't clear you, get with your personal physician. If you can't tolerate it at all, a salicylic acid wash is another option.
No: This is a popular misconception, as your own observations of your friends and neighbors will tell you. The thickness of the skin keratin and other factors also come into play.
Pangea Organics: Try pangea products. They are plant based (not weird chemicals), organic, vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free and fairtrade. The high antioxidant content found in these products supports collagen retention, helps stimulate micro-circulation, gently purifies, brightens skin tone and helps prevent discoloration and moisture loss. What I Recommend: Neutrogena body clear body wash twice daily. After wash, alternate neutrogena body clear body spray with a 10% Alpha hydroxy acid moisturizer (acne.Org has a good one). Good hygiene is also important, so make sure you shower and change clothes right away after a work-out. The degree of body acne can vary, if its irritated or severe you may need to see a doctor for a more thorough evaluation.See 1 more doctor answer
Cosmetics: Mineral based powders and gentle toners are best.See 1 more doctor answer
Many factors: There are several causes for acne: 1.The skin turns over slower, causing pores to plug up, 2. Increased bacteria on the skin. 3. Increased hormones 4. Heredity. I would get evaluated by a dermatologist to determine your best treatment options. It is not caused by dirt or foods in most cases. I would try an over the counter benzoyl peroxide, one I like is panoxyl 10% bar soap in the meantime.
19yr old gal oily skin type wid acne. Wen I put any sunscreen my temp. Rises I feel hot n skin becomes red I use SPF 15.
Skin sensitivity: You may be sensitive to -- or even allergic to -- some of the chemicals in the sun screen you're using. This is not uncommon. Possible culprits may be ingredients like paba and benzophenones -- one of the most common causes of sunscreen-induced contact dermatitis. Check your labels and see what's in the stuff you're rubbing onto your skin. Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide may be less irritating.
I cleanse tone and moisturise twice a day but my pores are always clogged and I always have oily skin even with acne products help please?
OILY skin: Have the dermatologist evaluate your skin condition. He can give the best suggestion.
I want to know how can I get rid of pimples (acne). I have an oily skin and the acne just keep occurring on my face since last two years.
Meds: Many patients do well with over the counter benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid preparations. Some patients require topical or oral antibiotics or retinoids as well. If the over the counter meds alone don't control your acne after a month of daily use, see a doctor for additional treatment options. It is important to be persistent, and some patients 'get worse before they get better'.
I have oily skin and facial acne, mostly on the forehead and around the chin bone, slow treated and redness around the acne and sometimes itchy?
Get treated: If topical benzoyl peroxide as tolerated (try 5% 2x/day for starters) hasn't cleared you in two weeks, get with your personal physician for prescription-strength rx. Life's tough enough without dealing with this as an adult.
I am experiencing oily skin along with acne. How do I get rid of my oily skin? I wash my face everyday, use toner and moisturizer. I also exercise.
Best treatment for oily skin with mild acne and brown spots (post-acne), glycolic or alpha hydroxy products?
AHA's: Alpha hydroxy acids include glycolic acid but also other fruit acids such as lactic or malic or citric, etc. The aha's are somewhat effective in reversing acne and aging of the skin.
Sebum: Your skin produces sebum, which is an oily substance designed to moisturize the skin and hair, keep it waterproof & keep it acidic. Sebum also contains some more waxy & fatty type stuff that can clog the pores. Once sebum is stuck in a pore, skin bacteria can cause infection which leads to inflammation, & that results in the redness, swelling & production of pus we all know and hate as acne.
Sure: I do. My acne went away, as it always does eventually -- though I had to wait until I was 50. Manage whatever kind of skin you have, and stay on top of it.
I have oily skin and acne. Haven't taken any medicines or applied anything on it. Please help me?
Oily skin and acne: For your age, it is normal to have oily skin and acne. Maintaining the health of your skin may at a minimum requires once or twice a day face washing with a cleanser contains ingredients such as salicylic or glycolic acid. Adding topical prescription grade products may also benefit as might topical antibiotics & periodic unroofing of any acne pustules by a trained skin facialist.
