The low potassium: Is probably from the diarrhea and the dosage of ornidazole/orlfloxin probably not harmful but a call to the POISON CONTROL CENTER for exact information is my strong suggestion!

Hope this helps!

I had a sprain in my heel in the yesterday so today my father gave me o2 ofloxacin ornidazole tablets instead of a painkiller. Will I have any problems?

Not a treatment: Ofloxacin ornidazole is usually treatment for infection, not heel sprain. Unless your heel sprain is related to infection (unlikely) this actually doesn't treat it for anything. Pain killers are not recommended either, antiinflammatory medication, icing, rest, elevation, bracing and cool compression wraps usually help sprains. Good luck. ...Read more

Is norfloxacin400mg twice/day enough for chronic orchitis? Cipro, ofloxacin & levofloxacin are ineffective after relapse & missed dose. Thanks very much!

Probably won't help: "Chronic orchitis" (or maybe epididymitis?) usually is not a standard bacterial infection; antibiotics usually don't help. If three different fluoroquinolone antibiotics have not helped, probably a fourth will make no difference. Get checked for other things, like tuberculosis, fungal infection, drug reaction, and testicular cancer. See a urologist or infectious diseases specialist. Good luck! ...Read more

Probably a dumb question, but I take two doses of ODT Zofran (ondansetron) daily due to disease and nausea. Does this help protect me from vomiting from stomach flu?

Not Dumb! It helps.: Zofran (ondansetron) helps with nausea and vomiting from many causes. So if you are taking it for chronic nausea, it will also affect the nausea from an acute gastroenteritis (stomach bug). It's a good question! Zofran (ondansetron) treats symptoms: nausea and vomiting, not the cause of them. These symptoms can have many causes, which Zofran (ondansetron) does not correct. ...Read more
