Yes: That's correct. A great source of information on the safety of cosmetics and body products is EWG. Org. See the skin deep section.

Do I have to wash calamine lotion off after applying it? I have many small acnes on my back

Calamine lotion: Calamine is used to help with itching associated with topical allergies, insect bites and such. The medication is effective for around 3-6 hours after application. It is recommended you remove it after that time to avoid dryness and pluging of your pores if you have tendency to have acne in the area you applied it.

SUPER OILY SKIN: IF YOU HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING, AND NOTHING IS WORKING, THEN ITS TIME TO SEE A DERMATOLOGIST. DO IT!

Using permethrin 5% lotion now & washing bed sheets, will they get infested again tonight? Do I have to wash them again tomorrow?

Using permethrin 5% lotion now & washing bed sheets, will they get infested again tonight? Do I have to wash them again tomorrow?

Unlikely a problem: The Permethrin will kill the mites rather quickly and treated individuals are not considered contagious after 8 hours. The skin disruption may take weeks to fade because that takes more time. I would not worry about reinfection from your sheets.

Can I wash my vagina by soap if my vagina have a smell bed or which lotion can I use for wash vagina?

Can I wash my vagina by soap if my vagina have a smell bed or which lotion can I use for wash vagina?

Get tested: There are several causes of bad smelling vaginal discharge and testing is needed to determine the cause and treatment. The most likely is bacterial vaginosis. Bacterial vaginosis is an overgrowth of normal vaginal bacteria. It causes a watery discharge with a fishy odor. It is not sexually transmitted and your partner does not require treatment. It is treated with antibiotics. Using soap is fine.

What body wash/lotion do you recommend for dry itchy skin?? :) preferably brands I can find in Australia

What body wash/lotion do you recommend for dry itchy skin?? :) preferably brands I can find in Australia

Eczema skin products: Dry skin usually improves if using sorbolene or aqueous cream instead of soap and having short cool-warm showers instead of long hot showers or baths. Using a moisturiser helps too. Some products labelled 'mild' or 'hypoallergenic' can irritate sensitive skin; try products used for eczema such as QV, Cetaphil, Dermeze or Alpha keri products and check back with your GP if the itching persists.

Itchy after water contact, especially showers. It disappears for months and comes back. Any season, I use medicated lotion to moisturize. What's wrong?

Itchy after water contact, especially showers. It disappears for months and comes back. Any season, I use medicated lotion to moisturize. What's wrong?

Pruritus: It may be associated with the medicated shampoo or it could also be associated with something you eat prior to shampooing. I would try an non medicated shampoo and watch what you eat prior to rhe onset of the itch.

Doctor prescribd me halox lotion bt I dunno how to use it How many tims in a day It is aplied in particulr area or whole? And hair wash after applyin

Doctor prescribd me halox lotion bt I dunno how to use it How many tims in a day It is aplied in particulr area or whole? And hair wash after applyin

Halox lotion: Halox is a corticosteroid lotion and best used for the particular areas where you are having a rash or problem with your skin. It should not be used in areas not affected by the condition and probably once a day is sufficient. I would not wash the area off for at least 3-4 hours otherwise the lotion will not work effectively.

Yes: Yes skin lotions are advised as the products you use may cause dryness on the skin. It is best to use non-comedogenic lotions that hydrate the skin like cereve or cetaphil. Most dermatology offices will have good recommendations for products or even have professional products in their offices to use. Perhaps the dermatologist who prescribed your acne meds can help with a lotion.

My 5 yr old has suddenly developed a brownish stain on his hands. It looks like he used self-tanning lotion and didn't wash it off.

My 5 yr old has suddenly developed a brownish stain on his hands. It looks like he used self-tanning lotion and didn't wash it off.

There are other: Products that might cause that. Are there any hair color products in the household? Perhaps he is reacting to something he touched at school? If it doesn't go away in a couple of days, or if there are any symptoms of illness with it, I would have him seen by his doctor.

Recently started using panoxyl 10% wash and clindamycin lotion making acne worse. What could be wrong?

Stop the wash: I suspect the wash is causing too much irritation to your skin. If you can get a wash with 5 % that might work if you find that the wash was giving you some benefit.

No, see a Doctor: It does not sound normal, does sound infected, and may be transmissible. You should be evaluated by a doctor--yours, or urologist or county health dept "std clinic" or urgent care.

Seb derm? Psoriasis?: Most likely you have seborrheic dermatitis -- the medical term for dandruff. However, don't assume it without professional evaluation. Psoriasis also is a possibility and requires more intensive treatment. If no severe itching, probably no big hurry, but show it to your doctor one of these days, or a dermatologist. In the meantime, you could try an over-the-counter dandruff shampoo.

Paronychia: Paronychia is fairly common. It is usually caused by injury to the area -- for example, from biting off or picking a hangnail or from trimming or pushing back the cuticle. Bacterial paronychia is caused by bacteria. Candidal paronychia is caused by a specific type of yeast. Fungal paronychia is caused by a fungus. Treatment depends on the cause.

My 4 months old baby has eczema. Doctor advice me to use Cetaphil lotion and body wash. I noticed that my baby's face is getting whiter.

Need more info: I don't see any relationship to the topical products you are using. I would bring the findings of the skin on the baby's face to the attention of the pediatrician. Having one skin problem may lead to another kind of skin problem.

Why is top of my hands burning&rash? Allergy reactions from doing laundry, wash dishes, or just dry? I've tried using lotion but it made worse.

Option: Best to see a doctor. But for over the counter option try benedryl cream or the lowest cortisone ointment for itchiness. Please read side effects and consult pharmacist before purchasing. If still itchy, must go see doctor.
