Occasional White Poop
My butthole hurts at times when pooping. Also there is occasionally light bleeding should I be concerned?
Get an exam: To be certain there are no worrisome things such as anal warts or evidence of possible inflammatory bowel disease you should be checked. Assuming that isn't the case then you will feel better if you increase dietary fiber, increase water intake, use the restroom when you need to (don't wait or ignore the urge when it comes), try using a stool softener like colace (docusate sodium) every day at bedtime. Don't strain ...Read more
Me and my bf had hard but sex 2 weeks ago my butt still hurts and is out a bit occasional bleeding when I poop he said he felt me tear a bit?
Great BF, see Dr: Sounds like you have anal tears, aka fissures, which can be very painful and require steroid and stool softener and sometimes surgical repair. To suggest partner noticed tear & kept going suggests very irresponsible partner. Also, if no condom used, huge potential for std/hiv. See dr. For examination and std testing as indicated. ...Read more

I'm having foul/awful/disgusting smelling gas, mucous when I poop-both on toilet paper & in toilet and occasionally blood, what are these symptoms of?
Diet Intolerance: Though diet intolerance to something can cause changes in your bowel pattern, blood is never, never normal or due to diet. This must be checked immediately by a gastroenterologist and at 30 usually nothing of alarm is ever found but it needs to be checked. Too much fat in the diet could also cause these issues as well as some kind of intestinal infection again best checked by a gastroenterology. ...Read more

This happens occasionally and only when I am pooping: Severe stomach pain Feeling like I will vomit Sweat Extremely runny nose Looking for answers!
Hard to say: This is an unusual response but if it only happens on going to the bathroom it can be associated with the bowel and its attempts to evacuate your stools. In doing so there sometimes is a very unpleasant pain with the cramps and can cause you to become sweaty and feel light headed and nauseated. This is not bad but if it persists it should be checked with a physician or healthcare provider. ...Read more
Most common causes:: Bleeding from a fissure (tear) when passing a hard stool is common, and can be avoided by avoiding constipation (lots of fluids and fiber!). Bleeding from hemorrhoids is also common. The problem is, there are other less typical causes and some can be dangerous. This warrants a visit to your primary care doctor to help control your symptoms - and assess your risk for more serious conditions. ...Read more

Intestinal Bleeding: It's certainly possible that after a history of bulimia you might be more susceptible to ulcers that can cause bleeding but you're young and my guess is the chances of that are low, but non-zero. Talk about this with your doctor and get a guaiac test to determine if blood was truly found in your stool. Sometimes iron supplements can give black stool as well. Good luck. ...Read more

Painus in the anus!: Such burning is due to the alkalinity of the intestinal contents damaging the anal canal and perianal "skin" or anoderm. I tend to pass a little blood with stool in the morning. How serious could this be? This has happened on and off for years (infrequently)
Probably not: Generally, small amounts of blood with stool occurring occasionally for years in a 25 year old person is likely from internal hemorrhoids that are bleeding, more so if it occurs mainly with constipation and the blood appears mainly in the water or on the toilet paper and not covering the stool. If there has been a change in your bowel habits or the amount of bleeding see your physician. ...Read more
Is recurrent (but only occasional) loose, bright orange stool a bad sign or normal? My diet consists mostly of grains and dairy, with few vegetables.
Stool color: Stool color and consistency can vary across a wide range of normal, and if your symptoms are only occasional, probably are nothing to worry about. Bf has short stabbing pains occasionally right side below bellybutton very short. Went away for a week, now back. Pebble like poo. 17 yrs old like me?
Possible gas cramps: Sharp pains that come and go are more consistent with gas cramps, whereas persistent pain that increases in severity or associated with vomiting would be more worrisome. Pebble like poo sounds like constipation, which is often associated with cramps. I suggest increasing fiber and fluids in diet with veggies and bran or stool softeners such as Docusate sodium or Citrucel for maintenance. ...Read more
