Maybe not: Oats and oatmeal are listed as a gluten-containing grain. More recent reports say that oats don't have the gluten proteins but have small amounts of another protein that may cause reactions in some celiac disease patients. it's fine to have a little sweetener to make it taste better.
Some people think honey is more healthy than sugar or brown sugar because it's a sweetener that's been part of humans' diet for > 30, 000 years. Contrast this with refined sugar being around for < 5000 years.
