I read that oral nystatin can make your tongue and mouth swell up, possibly breathing problems is this true?
My dr. Diag me with thursh. Gave me nystatin. There are a few bumps in the back of mouth and is the meds suppose to create bad breath?
Have follow up: In general, thrush will resolve within 2 weeks of taking nyastatin if the directions are appropriately followed. Once resolved you should see your dentist for a follow up to confirm that there are no more signs of thrush. At that time have them look at the bumps to determine if they are normal (might be normal papillae), and also evaluate for halitosis, or bad breath, to see if it's related. ...Read more
