I am only one in my class that sleeps in the afternoon after school is that ok?

I am only one in my class that sleeps in the afternoon after school is that ok?

It's a nap.: Naps by themselves are not generally harmful, but the question to be answered is: why do you need the nap in the first place? Sleep apnea? Medications? Depression? Just not enough sleep at night? The concern is not the nap, but why the need for the nap. That being said, napping during the day can disrupt your sleep at night, so try not to nap if you can. ...Read more

Are: Are you eating enough a few hours before your spinning class? If not you may be dealing with hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). This can cause the symptoms you described. Try eating a meal at least two hours before working out and monitor for effect. Also, consider seeing your doctor for a physical to make sure there are no underlying conditions that are contributing or causing your symptoms.
All the best. ...Read more

What happens if one has asperger's syndrome are they classed as autistic?

What happens if one has asperger's syndrome are they classed as autistic?

The spectrum: Years ago, with push from educators, they put autism, Asperger syndrome and pervasive developmental delay under an umbrella of the "autism spectrum disorders".It allowed coordinated treatment funding for similar needs, but I consider it like putting appendicitis in an"abdominal pain spectrum". They are separate issues with common needs and some overlap in features. Beyond that it's just words. ...Read more

I'm practicing yoga after a long hiatus. How do I determine a safe stretch for my body? I've attended one class, so far, and until my flexibility increases, I want to avoid injury by stretching safely, but still achieve a productive stretch.

I: I recommend discussing this with your yoga teacher. It is always safest to start slow and slowly increase your stretch over many days or weeks as you adjust to the stretch. You want to avoid painful stretches to try to decrease chance of tearing soft tissues or injuring yourself. Good luck! ...Read more

I have always been tallnin my class until now. I am now a shorter one. I stopped growing when I was 14 I think. Am I done? Or will I grow again?

Hard to say: Women on average stop growing earlier than men, usually around 17 or 18. You might be between growth spurts, or you might be finished growing. A lot of your final height depends on genetics- the height of your parents. Just remember though, the height you end up at was the height you were meant to be. There is no right or wrong height. Is one class of acid blockers generally considered more safe for long term use? PPI vs H2 Blockers specifically.

Rx meds are only single molecules recommended in specific quantities/time to shift behavior, hopefully toward better. Stomach acid production can vary a million fold/24 hr; pH 7 to pH 1. H2 blocker can ↓ acid 100 fold; PPIs 1, 000 fold, of the million range. ...Read more
