Nutrition!: A gastric bypass is a very complex nutrition situation. If your physician has not dealt with it much i would suggest asking for a referral to a nutritionist or a bariatric center. That being said, the dosage of iron is fda approved treatment for iron deficiency, and the vitamin d is a reasonable amount. You have many nutrient levels that should be monitored and carefully watched! ...Read more

? codeine withdrawal: The amount of codeine in this analgesic is relatively low, but the use of any opiate for long enough can result in physical dependency and some withdrawal. Insomnia is common with withdrawal, but I would expect the other symptoms - muscle aches and cramps, stomach cramps, diarrhea, nausea and others. It is likely to only last a few more days, but you could take an OTC med (Unisom etc) to help. ...Read more

A lot faster with Rx: Unless there are other inciting risks to inflammation in your stomach (like h.Pylori, tobacco, too liberal alcohol, Aspirin or other nsaid's, etc.) your gastropathy will likely heal within a few weeks. Of course, you can speed up the healing process by starting an acid blocker drug like Prilosec otc daily. Vitamin c and boiled vegetables is not the answer. ...Read more
I'm 10w pregnant & I've allergy that keeps getting worse sneezing itching ears & throat congestion & the PA told me i can take allegra (fexofenadine) ! Is it safe?
No Allegra (fexofenadine): Claritin (loratadine) and Zyrtec (cetirizine) are pregnancy category B medications which means that animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus. I frequently use these medications with my pregnant patients. Allegra (fexofenadine) is category C so I would avoid this medication and stick with the ones listed above. If concerned, talk to OB/GYN about specific medications. ...Read more

Don't settle: There are many AD's on the market you haven't yet tried, and using them in combination is the forte of psychiatrists.
