Wrong splint?: If you are wearing the splint and you are getting popping or cracking noises in the wrist, then it is not likely immobilizing the wrist and not helping. Also, carpal tunnel doesn't cause popping or cracking in the wrist. NMS but: YOu might have what we call carpel tunnel syndrome (often from repetitive injury such as typing on the keyboard excessively etc).
