Numbness in my finger tip middle finger on left hand?

Carpal tunnel: You may have carpal tunnel syndrome, characterized by hand pain and recurrent numbness or "pins and needle" sensations in the thumb, index, middle finger and the lateral aspect of the ring finger. It may be triggered by use (driving, keyboard use). Wearing a wrist cock- up splint is very effective. Surgery reserved for severe cases. Check with your physician if symptoms persist or worsen.

Numbness: Most likely carpal tunnel syndrome as this affects thumb through half of ring finger. Try a carpal tunnel splint on that wrist while waiting to see a doctor for an exam. A bit young for stroke and lasting too long without other symptoms for lack of blood flow issue.

Nerve issue: Pain and numbness in a limb sounds like a pinched nerve. It can be pinched in the neck or wrist as well as possibly other places in the arm. Carpal tunnel can cause these symptoms as well and often cause numbess in thumb and index finger. You can try over the counter nsaids and a wrist splint but if sx aren't going away and especially if you have weakness you should see your doc.

I have been having numbness in my right foot middle toe and the top of my left hand middle finger and index just the top is numb, why?

I have been having numbness in my right foot middle toe and the top of my left hand middle finger and index just the top is numb, why?

Varies: The two are probably not related. Tarsal tunnel in the foot and carpal tunnel syndrome in the hand are among the two more common causes although many possibilities. Don't hesitate to be seen for an accurate diagnosis.

Have been experiencing severe numbness in my hands (mainly left hand from middle finger to thumb) and, recently noticed my big toe on the left foot doing the same. The only other symptom is spells of blurry vision. What could be the reason for this?

Let doctor decide: Your blurry vision may be a separate issue! It could be totally separate from your other symptoms; you should see a doctor for medical examination and advice. The hand may be carpal tunnel syndrome or manifestation of more systemic disease.

Numbness in index finger left hand, are these things temporary?

Numbness in index finger left hand, are these things temporary?

Numb finger: There are many many causes of a numbness, caused by a nerve being compromised....Pressure from habitually holding an object in one way, or on the nerve farther away, from cysts or spurs. Some disease like diabetes and thyroid disorders can predispose to nerves being injured the duration depends on the cause. Consult a neurologist. Here is a good discussion: http://www. Nlm. Nih. Hand numbness: Numbness of the hand typically relates to a nerve condition. This could be so-called peripheral, involving nerves in the arm/hand or more central, involving nerves in the neck. There are other more general nerve issues as well. A good history/exam with a hand doctor and/or neurologist will help. Good luck.

Numbness: Numbness of fingers can be due to pinching of nerves at the wrist such as seen in carpal tunnel syndrome. Since only the very tips of two fingers are involved, a localized neuropathy may be the cause. At this point your symptoms are minor, but if they worsen or start to involve other regions of the hand, consult a hand SURGEON or neurologist for diagnosis and treatment.

Pressure neuropathy: Is my best guess, based on your sleep position. Make sure you are not sleeping on your hand, or propping it up or on your chest. Does it eventually go away each day? If not, you could also have an odd pattern of carpal tunnel syndrome. Wear a wrist brace to sleep (not tight though) and see your doc if it persists.

I'm having numbness in my little finger on my left hand. What could it be and I'm also a diabetic?

I'm having numbness in my little finger on my left hand. What could it be and I'm also a diabetic?

Neck Vs. Ulnar Nerve: Could be a pinched nerve in your neck and could also be an ulnar nerve neuropathy given your history of diabetes. If this bothers you enough you may consider an emg/ncs study to evaluate this further or even get an MRI of your neck. To evaluate.

Can't tell: Based on the limited info, and without an examination, it's impossible to tell. He should see his physician, though, and may need further evaluation (testing or seeing a neurologist).

A couple of days ago I had a deep cut on my left hand which the nurses stitched up. I feel numbness in my palm, fingers and I'm very worried.

See Hand Doc: Since the palm is a functional surface, numbness is an important symptom. If can indicate nerve damage, and certain nerves need repair by a hand specialist. Usually can be dealt with within the days following the original injury. Call the original treating provider to discuss.

Joint or tendon?: This may be tendon rather than joint. Can't say for sure why you are experiencing numbness. Ask you physician to evaluate your symptoms. You may need to see a rheumatologist or hand orthopedic surgeon to clarify this.

My left hand often cramps painfully for 20+ minutes and I cannot stretch it out. I also have numbness in pinkie and ring finger. What could this be?

My left hand often cramps painfully for 20+ minutes and I cannot stretch it out. I also have numbness in pinkie and ring finger. What could this be?

Often no cause: Spontaneous painful muscle cramps often happen without any detectable cause. Electrolytes imbalance and low Calcium levels in blood are rather uncommon causes of painful cramps. Gentle stretching of the painful muscle along with gentle massage resolves it in few minutes. Some medicines are associated with muscle cramps (like Statins) but they do not cause muscle contraction.

The tip of my little finger on my left hand feels numb. I thought it will go away but after 3 days still the numbness is there. What is the cause.

The tip of my little finger on my left hand feels numb. I thought it will go away but after 3 days still the numbness is there. What is the cause.

Several causes: The tip of the little finger miss incinerated by the lunar nerve. At the elbow the lunar nerve is relatively shallow and exposed to trauma of various kinds. People call this the crazy bone, but injury to the lunar nerve is what happens. Also the small digital artery that supplies it if damaged can cause numbness, but then often the finger tip is blue, white. If it persists over a week see your doc.
