Several causes: The tip of the little finger miss incinerated by the lunar nerve. At the elbow the lunar nerve is relatively shallow and exposed to trauma of various kinds. People call this the crazy bone, but injury to the lunar nerve is what happens. Ulnar neuropathy?: The symptoms you describe are typical for trouble with the ulnar nerve. This is the nerve that travels along the inner elbow and causes the 'funny bone' sensation when the elbow is hit in a certain way. Median nerve: It seems that ganglion may have been right in the mid wrist on front side. If so, that is also where median nerve travels. The swelling from surgery may be causing temporary symptoms and it should subside once the swelling resolves. Talk to your surgeon. ...Read more

Nerve issue : Pain and numbness in a limb sounds like a pinched nerve. It can be pinched in the neck or wrist as well as possibly other places in the arm. Carpal tunnel can cause these symptoms as well and often cause numbess in thumb and index finger. You can try over the counter nsaids and a wrist splint but if sx aren't going away and especially if you have weakness you should see your doc. ...Read more
