Numbness In Left Calf And Foot
Had chiropractic treatment on 16/1/14 now my left calf and all my left foot is numb I have fibromyalgia but never had this numbness this bad before?
Sciatica: Pain in the distribution as you suggested describes the pattern of the nerve that travels in the leg called the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve is not the cause of the pain source, it is the result of an irritated nerve typically in the lumbar spine (low back) which are caused by herniated disks, spinal stenosis or degenerative disc disease requiring further evaluation by a spine specialist. ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›
I have pain stemming from the back of my left leg (calf) down to the ankle and numbness like pins and needles in my toes on the left foot. ?
Nerves=numbness: First consider if there is any swelling present. When someone presents with calf pain, it is important to be aware of the risks of blood clots in this area. This would most likely present with swelling of the leg. Many times people feel numbness in their foot in such a scenario. Such pain could also be due to injury to the Triceps Surae. If swollen, I send my patients for a doppler study. ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›
Back pain at left lumbar area, numbness and tingling radiates to calf and foot for first 3days. Now, no pain but non movable lump left lumbar area.
What could cause deep stabbing and throbbing pain at the base of left calf muscle (inner leg), burning and radiating pain at base of Achilles extending around inside of left ankle and numbness in outer three toes on left foot?
Tarsal tunnel : Description sounds somewhat like tarsal tunnel syndrome which is an entrapped nerve in the ankle but could also be referred lumbar radiculopathy (pinched nerve in back) or just really bad tendinitis compressing the nerves of the lower leg. Sounds like an exam and some nerve conduction velocities would be helpful. ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›

I was kneeling for over an hour and my legs kept going numb. It's been over 24 hours and my left calf and foot is still partially numb. Suggestions?
Neurapraxia: Neurapraxia is the mildest form of crush injury to a nerve, where the axon and myelin sheath are still intact. The transient reduction of blood flow from repeated crush injury (i.e. Kneeling for over an hour) leads to loss of sensory +/- motor function, which may take up to 8 weeks to completely recover, but happens earlier in most cases. The sensation will come back, give it time to heal. ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›

Numbness : Numbness that shoots from the big toe up the lower limb and triggered by movement of the toe sounds like neuritis. Neuritis is caused by irritation or injury to a nerve. In this case, the involved nerve could be one of the digital (that's digit as in toes) nerves to the big toe, the medial plantar nerve, or the posterior tibial nerve. Since feet take such a beating, from things including the activities we do and the things we wear on our feet, it is not surprising that the nerves in our feet can be injured. Digital nerves can sometimes become swollen, causing something called morton's neuroma. The medial plantar nerve can be hurt by badly-fitting arch supports. The posterior tibial nerve can get pinched at the ankle, something called tarsal tunnel syndrome. Foot nerves can also be made more liable to injury by other conditions, like diabetes and vascular disease. Podiatrists, who specialize in diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the feet, may be a good resource for foot nerve injuries. ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›
