Chest Pain: Cardiac causes would be unusual but not unheard of in patients of your age. The cause does need to be found or at least serious causes ruled out. Sounds like this has been going on for awhile. I suggest you start with your doc and go from there.

R/O THORACIC DISC: Given the Nature and duration of your symptoms I would be concerned with arthritis or herniation of a disc in the thoracic region. T4-6 You need to be examined have labs checked. I am experiencing numbness in the center of my chest (time frame: sudden). Diagnosed with IST 4 years ago, taking corlanor to control. New symptom?
Consultation: It sounds like you already had some evaluation for "inappropriate sinus tachycardia." If you need another opinion, the "inbox consult" allows you to message back/forth like email, and is good when a lot of info needs to be exchanged (prior test reports, etc.) A good inbox consult may let you and a HealthTap cardiologist work through all your questions.
Obstructive Sleep: Apnea is a condition of cessation of breathing during sleep that lasts for 10 seconds or longer. OSA should first be confirmed with the proper medical sleep studies. Regardless, the cause, could be only muscle pain or anxiety. However, pain in your chest with the symptoms you have described is a serious medical condition. It is always a red flag and appointment with your PCP or cardiologist.
See your doctor: Could be a problem with skin, nerves, muscle, shoulder, lung, heart, or stomach. See your doctor for a more thorough history, physical exam and further evaluation. If you sleep on your stomach you could have a neck strain that radiates pain to the chest or arm. Get checked out just to make sure.See 1 more doctor answer
Chest tightness: Hi. Did this chest tightness begin recently? Whenever we hear about new onset of chest tightness our first concern is to rule out the possibility that it could be related to the heart. That is a priority! If that has not been checked out, you should go to the emergency room now to be evaluated. Once heart disease has been ruled out, then we can check for other causes. Do not delay. Good luck.See 1 more doctor answer

Hello.: Hello. I am sorry I didn't see your question earlier. I will list some of the symptoms of a mycocardial infarction (heart attack). Chest pain, tightness, squeezing or fullness is the most common presentation. However the pain can also present in the upper back, the upper middle abdomen, jaw, head, teeth or in the arms (left more than right). One could have nausea, vomiting or it could feel like indigestion or heartburn. Feeling short of breath, sweating and just feeling out of sorts can also occur. About a fourth of people have no significant symptoms during a heart attack. I recommend that you be seen asap.

I sometimes have numbness and pain in the center of my chest. I've been to the ER, but all seems well. What's wrong??, could I have costochondritis??
Certainly: It certainly could be costochondritis - stress, viral infections, muscle pulls can all cause this condition and it is very painful at times. As long as it has been shown that your heart and lungs are normal then I would suggest seeing a chiropractor for treatment. NSAIDs also are helpful. It is also possible that you are having esophageal problems - talk to your FP about that as well.
