I'm concerned: In general there is usually no numbness with a biceps strain although there is close anatomical proximity. If it started at the same time as the biceps injury you may have injured a peripheral nerve but that would be uncommon. I would bring this to your doctors attention as it may be a problem that needs work up, like an emg. Hope this helps. ...Read more
I have a large mass on my bicep. It can be felt when pushed it seems to swell and cause numbness in my arm. On my MRI, "no mass was detected"??
MRI can miss masses: In my experience, the most common soft tissue mass missed on MRI is a lipoma, a benign tumor made up of cells containing fat, which look very like the surrounding fat surrounding on MRI. Evaluation: The head pressure and spasms could be from a pinched nerve in your neck or spasming in the muscles of the neck. The numbness in the face is a little more concerning though.
