What can be done to stop numbness and tingling in feet and get relief fromknee pain I am allergic to all pain med mri in 3 days been this way 8 week?

Peripheral neuro-: Pathy, damage usually to nerves of feet/hands, is common and has many causes...diabetes chief among them. Full medical work-up needed to find, if possible, the cause and treat it directly. Symptom relief often found from anti-convulsant drugs including gabapentin. Knee symptoms probably caused by something else...? arthritis. Probably not allergic but intolerant of pain meds. Keep working with Doc

I increased my dose crestor (rosuvastatin) from 5 to10mg then I started having numbness and tingling in feet and hands?

Crestor (rosuvastatin): This type of drug depletes an important nutrient called co-enzyme q10. This is a nutrient that keeps your nervous system healthy. Speak to your doctor about a coq supplement.

I increased my dose crestor (rosuvastatin) from 5 to10mg then I started having numbness and tingling in feet and hands. How long for it to resolve after stopping?

Unknown: For a few reasons - it may coincidental and not related to the crestor (rosuvastatin). You may want to take certain vitamins that are known to encourage healthy nerve function like the b's.

See your doctor: It's important with all these symptoms mentioned that you seek evaluation with your primary care doctor to figure out what could be causing all these symptoms. There are various thing that could result in some of those symptoms. It may not be only one cause. It could have some vascular component, a metabolic component, a neurologic component, nutrient deficiency component, or none-of-the-above.

What do medical experts say are the reasons for numbness and tingling of the feet and ankles?

What do medical experts say are the reasons for numbness and tingling of the feet and ankles?

Neuropathy: Nerve damage (neuropathy) is a common diagnosis for such complaints, though there are other potential diagnoses that can cause this. A nerve conduction and EMG test can be useful to prove neuropathy. Neuropathy has many potential causes, but diabetes, thyroid issues, some toxins (alcohol, chemo meds), vitamin deficiencies, and some infections (eg hiv, hansen's disease) are coin causes.

Had eviked potentials done for numbness and tingling rt foot an. Result. 2.5to 3 is that abnorm. Al?

See below: Guess I am confused, as to why you would have your symptoms tested by evoked potential study which is basically worthless if you have a peripheral nerve problem. (although may help diagnose a spinal cord problem). The more appropriate test could be an EMG nerve conduction study. I think you need to sit down with your doctor and ask some direct questions. Sorry, but that's my thinking, so far.

2 months after a trip where my feet were exposed to frigid water for prolonged periods I still have numbness and tingling. Is there permanent damage?

It may take time: Sounds like you damaged some of the sensory nerves in your feet. Could take many months to resolve. Hopefully no lasting damage.

I experience numbness and tingling pain in my toes when my feet get cold (had untreated frostbite 40 years ago. Is there anything I can do for this?

You may speak to: Your pcp regarding calcium channel blockers or topical nitropaste or possibly even viagra (sildenafil) (seriously) or another long acting nitrate. Avoid caffeine, smoking and get some warm socks (seriously) make sure you do not also have new onset of diabetes and peripheral neuropathy due to that or another issues such as thyroid disease or some neurological issue you are blaming it all on frostbite.

My name is pat adams. I'm 47 years old and I'm experiencing numbness and tingling on my right side, arm, leg and foot as well.?

Pat: Visit your internist and let them examine you. I wonder if you have any back pain? Certainly, don't wait for this to get worse, an entire extremity is already a large area that likely should of been investigated already.

After a 15 hour flight to Australia the skin on the shin and top of my foot has numbness and tingling. Now ongoing for 2 weeks. Cause for concern?

Shin: The biggest concern would be that the long flight resulted in a blood clot in your leg. Most people get swelling and pain with that but your description could be that. Go see a doctor to get evaluated.
