Need more info: Sounds like you've had an appropriate workup so far. Your description of burning sounds like nerve type pain. A more unlikely diagnosis could be early shingles if only happening on one side, but your symptoms do sound more like a urinary tract infection or stone. Numbness normal MRI: The fact that MRI/EMG is normal is good news.Did they check thyroid? glucose? sed rate,ANA(autoimmune issues)? lyme titer? Could be reflux or H pylori, low iron Vit D, B12 , magnesium, potassium calcium, supplement if low. Check diet: Vegetarian(vit deficiency)?Do you have discomfort with eating(, may be malabsorping)?.
