Alcohol withdrawl: and kidney pain. Two things going on. It is important to see your doc to supervise your withdrawing. He/she may also do tests to determine the health of your kidneys. Please stop drinking: Your symptoms signal a problem. How serious the problem and what organ(s) is(are) involved will be determined by appropriate medical evaluation--see your doctor. How much drinking?: Alcohol can cause a condition called neuropathy usually described by people as numbness/tingling in the fingers/toes. However, this occurs usually over long periods of time & more than social usage. So, unless you've been using alcohol since age 3- I doubt that's the cause. Hard to say: Depends on how long you were drinking for and how extensive of neuropathy you have. Sometimes it may not be reversible and sometimes it might be. Either way by stop drinking you took the right step and prevented further damage of your nerves. ...Read more
