How long does it take for someone to develop alcoholic neuropathy? I started drinking 3 years ago and feel numbness, tingling next day after drinking.
I have numbness and Pain in my kidneys. Could this be a sign of drinking too much? The feeling has just been brought about with alcohol withdrawls.
Alcohol withdrawl: and kidney pain. Two things going on. It is important to see your doc to supervise your withdrawing. He/she may also do tests to determine the health of your kidneys. Alcohol neuropathy: High amounts of alcohol are toxic; by binge drinking you are poisoning yourself- it can even be fatal. Usually this occurs in the arms and legs but can happen in the cheeks. B vitamins can help but may not totally protect you. How much drinking?: Alcohol can cause a condition called neuropathy usually described by people as numbness/tingling in the fingers/toes. However, this occurs usually over long periods of time & more than social usage. So, unless you've been using alcohol since age 3- I doubt that's the cause.
