Anatomy: Back teeth, because of their shapes, are more susceptible to decay. It's also harder to care for supporting tissues. Add to that not bruising 2x/day for 2 full minutes by the clock, not flossing, not having check-ups 2x/year, eating hard foods like ice, high sugar diet, not replacing missing teeth immediately, etc. Comes down to see your Dentist regularly and follow advice to the letter. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Is: Is sounds as if this a long span bridge that is failing. In my opinion, without seeing films and the situation, it does sound as if it might be a better option to consider placing implants in the areas with the missing teeth and perhaps place a single crown on #11. This may provide a much longer lasting and stronger solution. The costs are hard to say without seeing you. It is usually a little higher than doing a bridge. Perhaps have a consult to get more information. Hope this helps. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
