6 month soreness rt shoulder, upper arm; numb/tingling /cold fingers; neck soreness less so.Hist rheumatoid, not carpal tunnel?
It may be that: The amoujnt of nerve compression was evere and that it takes time for the nerve to feel better. It may be that the nerve was irritated by the surgical process and that the nerve is a bit more sleepy. In severe cases often it takes longer ( far longer than it does for the incision to recover) to exhibit improvement and at times full improvement may not be possible. Talk to your surgeon about this. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I have upper arm tingling and some leg tingling only on right side been six with carpal tunnel. However hands don't hurt or feel numb?
Tingling numb pressure on right front side of head, forehead and down cheek. Sinus or something else?
I doubt it is: sinus congestion or infection. The most common cause of facial tingling is nerve entrapment possibly from trauma/injury. There are also diseases of the nerves themselves from neuropathy (? diabetes) or even multiple sclerosis. Chemical exposures can also impact facial nerves as can migraine. It is typically not an emergency so you can watch/wait a few days. If it doesn't resolve, see your Doctor. ...Read more

Does occipital neuralgia cause tingling over one half of scalp and sore spots on scalp? Hurts to move hair. Also tingly numb feeling forehead n cheek
Cutaneous allodynia: Cutaneous allodynia is the scalp tenderness and pain with hair movement that can happen when a migraine has gone on for a while until there is "central sensitization." The numbness in forehead and cheek doesn't sound like occipital neuralgia. Hemicrania continua is also a possibility, but less likely. I'm available for consult if you'd like to discuss further. Hope that helps! ...Read more

Myofascial pain: Most likely pain is coming from injury to fascia in neck/jaw/upper back. You may be able to find tender "trigger points" in the muscles of your neck, upper back, and jaw. They will cause any sensation you can describe (numbness to burning, aching, cramping, knife-like), and also be difficult to localize. www.blatmanhealthandwellness.com ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Injury to axons: Catnix, an axonal polyneuropathy is a neuropathy involving multiple nerves that occurs from injury to the axons. If your ncv/emg showed this, it is important to be certain that it is worked up completely to rule out B12 deficiency, hypo/hyperthyroidism, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, syphillis/hiv, and sarcoidosis. I would discuss further workup with your neurologist. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
