Tincture of time: It generally takes 2-3 wks for bruising to resolve. The numbness is likely due to the swelling and will probably improve as the swelling goes down. The bruising will probably extend down the leg before it completely resolves. ...Read more

2 events?: Three years later, and ow there is foot numbness? For a problem like this, it is wise to start the evaluation over, with an interview, exam, and perhaps some testing, such as a nerve conduction test. It is conceivable the local pain was from a local injury, but it should not have caused foot numbness 3 years later. ...Read more

Nerve problem: You probably have a problem with the nerve that goes to that part of the leg. It can either be from the spine, or it could be a problem in the nerve just below the knee. Calf issues: Tough to say exactly what it could be, but as described, it sounds as if you have a nerve irritation issue or some vascular issue (or combination of both),..so make sure if this continues, you need to see the Doctor to get assessed and properly treated depending on the diagnosis.
