Numb And Itchy Fingers
Hi! Okay so sometimes when I exercise my finger tips become hot and itchy and irritable. They also swell. They also feel kind of numb. What is this?
Itchy fingers: Hello~ the itching and irritability of the finger tips when you are exercising is due to the heart rate being up and that increases blood flow to the perifery ie fingers and toes. The extra hemaglobin in the blood in these areas areas with a relatively higher hematocrit for that period of time will cause the itching. Infection in a cut: Over a joint can be serious. Liquid can be from bacteria or a raction ot a foreign body or can be joint fluid or may just be normal "ooze" from a wound that is open. So its not normal as it is cut and oozing. Sounds like it would help to get it looked at to make sure its not something that needs further attention.
