Nt scan and gender determination, how is this done?

Nt scan and sex: NT is the ultrasound appearance of neck tissue in the first 3 months of a pregnancy. What size does fetus have to be in order for the NT scan to be performed? Is it a must?

Nuchal translucency: The nuchal translucency ultrasound test is performed between the fetal ages of 11 and 14 weeks. It is usually performed along with a maternal blood sample collection to evaluate for fetal chromosomal abnormalities, such as Down syndrome. Today i had my NT scan at 12 weeks 1 d but measured 12w 6 d is this normal and okay? What would cause this?

Yes: It's normal for a first trimester ultrasound to be different by 5 days and still be within the standard deviation of error. A fancy way of saying, that yes, it's okay that these 2 different gestational ages were given. Your doctor will tell you which is the date he/she is going to go with for the remainder of the pregnancy. ...Read more

I had a 12week NT scan results were good but blood tests came back 1:390 what does this mean?

High titer.: This most likely means you have a high titer of some antibody like anti-nuclear antibody, or some other antibody. The 1:390 means that it had to be diluted 390 parts for it to be read on the titer or concentration scale. That is how high the concentration is and it is very high. This may indicate presence of some disease like sle or rheumatiod arthritis. ...Read more

Ultrasound - NT scan - on nov.20 put me at 12weeks. Could conception have occurred on september 21-22?

Doubt it : If you do mean exactly 12 weeks on nov. 20 - 12 weeks and 0 days - then conception must've been between maybe sept. 10-15. This is never an exact science "working backwards, " and us is only accurate to +/- about 3 days: but sept. 21-22 sounds too late. ...Read more
