New Endocrine eval?: Thyroid disorders can cause hair problems, there are other causes as well . More concerning are your systemic symptoms . It is unclear to me if you have had complete thyroid studies. Nonetheless I would recommend seeing a new endocrinologist, a new broom sweeps clean! You may need an adjustment in meds or a new medication. Also consider that depression may mimic hypothyroidism and vice versa. ...Read more

Check levels: A good starting point would be to recheck thyroid hormones and a CBC. Other things to check would be B12 and glucose. The rest depends upon her exam, the initial lab findings and other factors (quality of sleep, other medical conditions) ...Read more

Possibly: Losing weight would be consistent with an overactive thyroid, feeling chills would be consistent with an underactive thyroid. The easiest way to know if your thyroid has anything to do with your symptoms is to get a TSH and free T4 level done. ...Read more

Better to identify: You stated that you have kidney problem but did not elaborate to what extent the damage is . If you have kidney failure , tiredness is to be expected due to several reasons . Furthermore , there are many conditions that cause or contribute to lack of energy or tiredness . It is always important to find out the cause so that appropriate solution can be found .
