Can only breathe through nose on one side and it alternates one side to the other usually over night. BUT NOSE CLEARS BOTH SIDES only WHILE exercising
Not unusual: The congestion alternates about once every 3 hours but is usually not noticeable in the absence of moderate nasal congestion. You will need to see your doctor if you are bothered by this to find out the cause. Exercise leads to increase in norepinephrine (a stimulant and nasal decongestant) and leads to the decongesting effect. ...Read more
Pharmacy closed been on Flonase nasal spray 2days havin odd feeling an pressure along sides of nose an down into my front teeth, is this a side effect?
Sinus pressure?: Roots of the upper molars often protrude up into the maxillary sinus. Flonase is a nasal steroid (anti-inflammatory) that is used to shrink membranes of the nose and open the ducts that drain the sinuses (that open on the top--so you must "stand on your head to drain them!) pressure means: still inflamed. Try using neilmed with a double salt mix-hypertonic solution. No med side effects. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Strange blockage in nose whole life. One side will be fully blocked. A popping/suction happens in nose and then other side blocks. Original side opens?
Nasal cycle : Is wildly asymmetric. Your blood pressure will probably be different in the two arms when measured by two people at the same time. Alternating recumbent unilateral nasal congestion is due to increased activity of a normal cycle that affects the nasal mucosa. The asymmetry is increased by changes in the lower brain controls of the autonomic (automatic)nervous system from poor diet, especially sugar. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Started Zoloft 50mg for anxiety on day 5 woke up very dizzy and felt like vomiting the rest of the night. Will side effects go away or should cut dose?
Don't self-modify!: Most people's side effects do seem to pass but the right thing to do is call the Dr to describe them and work together on any changes. Never quit cold or even cut dose w/o advising Dr of the concern. That can be risky and it's part of their treatment of you to help w/ this sort of thing. Best! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Side effect of avamys nasal spray?I use avamys 2sprays in each nostril in the morning and started from yesterday.I feel dizzness and headache at night
Possibly: First make sure that you are using your nasal spray correctly by aiming the spout towards the side and not the center of the nasal cavity. Aiming the spray direct-center may cause headaches. However dizziness is unexpected and may be from sinusitis or other factors. You need to talk to your doctor about these new symptoms. ...Read more

How long?: Although a 1- month old baby tends to have resistance to infection, he is not entirely immune to a cold. If this has been present for just a few days. keep on doing what you have been doing. However if this has been present for >10 days or getting worse, I would ask the doctor to check him out. Certainly food allergy needs be considered if he is fed artificial formula. ...Read more

1st time using nasal spray (it's from Dr). Is the unpleasant feeling of it going down nasal passage toward back of throat normal?
Sniffed too hard: 26 yo female prescribed nasal spray from doctor and now with unpleasant feeling of liquid running down back of throat. Nasal sprays only work well if patients use them properly. Sniffing the spray too hard/too much will cause liquid to run down throat and not go where it needs to (inside of nasal passages/sinuses). Please only a small sniff. And point the spray tip out and back (like towards ear) ...Read more
One nostril gets stopped up/inflammed? Every night. Almost always only one nostril gets stopped up or inflammed at night interrupting my sleep. The nose strips work sometimes but really tired of using those. Afrin works great but i can't use every night
I : I suggest you see an ENT (ear nose and throat) specialist. You may be dealing with enlarged turbinates. These are are small rounded bony projections inside the breathing passage on each side of your nose. They can cause significant blockage resulting in symptoms as you described in your post. One side could be larger than the other, further explaining your problem. There are procedures to help reduce the size of the turbinates, and would ultimately solve your breathing problem. Best of luck. ...Read more
Does Nasonex (mometasone) cause drainage? on day 3 taking it, and all a sudden I started experiencing tons of drainage from behind my nose into my throat.
Transient: If your nasal congestion had been preventing your sinuses to drain, a reduction in the congestion provides for sinus drainage- which is actually a good thing. However I'd expect this to stop after a week at the most. If the problem persists, talk to your doctor about trying an antihistamine nasal spray. ...Read more

See doctor: If you have an allergic issue, you may consider trying a steroid nasal spray.
