Is it normal for someones nose to bleed almost every day? My husband is 24 and gets nosebleeds almost everyday and he gets them for no reason without even touching his nose itll start bleeding and he will let the blood drip till it stops which is usually

It: It is certainly not normal to have nosebleeds daily. Most nosebleeding situations should resolve with a few days unless there are other underlying problems.

Some of these predisposing conditions include deficiency of clotting factors, high blood pressure resulting in rupture of the vessels, trauma to the nasal membranes, sinus disease, vascular lesions, or rarely tumors of the nasal passages.

Your husband's condition should be evaluated by an ENT specialist promptly. Besides treating any underlying condition, prolonged bleeding can lead to anemia which can then lead to other complications. ...Read more

I: I am very concerned about your symptoms. I would like you to see a neurologist and have a complete evaluation of your symptoms. Your symptoms sound somwhat like a concussion, but the duration is very concerning and you need a full neurological evaluation. If you are having this severe of symptoms then you should not be participating in any type of sports until you are cleared.

In addition, you should see your ENT doctor again to re-evaluate your persistent injury. But seeing the neurologist is most important at this time.

If you have worsening headache, visual changes, vomiting, weakness or numbness then you will have to be seen as an emergency. ...Read more
