See your doctor: First thing to make sure of is that you are not overfeeding the baby. A newborn has a stomach that in the average holds less than 1oz of fluid. Nose bleeds: It is the winter and it is possible your nares have dried out and cracked. Consider using a saline spray and see if this fixes the problem. If the bleeding is only from one nostril always and you cannot see the source of bleeding consider ENT appt to make sure there is no abnormality. If...: If this has been two weeks of persistent symptoms especially if associated with facial pain and significant congestion might be time to have antibiotics prescribed. Usually fluids, rest and OTC meds are recommended in the first few days but after that long if not better then a bacterial infection is possible. The blood may be coming from behind your nose.
