Nose Bleed Right Nostril
Need to see an ENT: You most likely have an area in the front of your nose that is inflamed and irritated. There are large superficial blood vessels in the front of the nose that are easily injured by blowing and cleaning. Seeing an ENT doctor is important as he/she can look in your nose and see if there is a vessel that can be easily cauterized. For now avoid putting anything in your nose including saline. ...Read more

Nose bleed: Put a lot of ointment in the nose that bled. Usually nose bleeds will stop when you humidify the nose. Irrigate the nose with saline 50 cc each nostril 5 times a day. Use ocean nasal spray throughout the day. I would not worry about the dizziness. This probably occurred because you were scared about the nose bleed and hyperventilated. Good luck. Friday I had a nose bleed that would not stop. After 3 hours I went to urgent care. The dr put a cotton plug into my nostril. Bleeding stopped - can I remove the plug or should I have a dr do it?
Did the urgent care doctor tell you if there was a visible bleeding vessel? Were you told to see an ENT (ear, nose, and throat specialist)? If not then the bleeding was probably due to dry nose secondary to allergies or other issue, however it would be wise to follow up with your primary care provider for a more clear understanding. You should be able to take the cotton out yourself. However if the bleeding persists and does not stop you need to go back to the urgent care.
Good luck. ...Read more
