Several wks: It depands on what dose of nortriptyline you were on and if it started after you were started on this new medicine, if you have any history of it before (tardive dyskinesia)
as a referance I checked on uptodate. Com which is an authetic site for physicians and it says it might take upto several wks & do not require specific treatment but I would chk with my physician, just to be on the safeside. ...Read more

Not a good idea!: Never is a good idea to "cold turkey" stop a medication, especially on your own w/o your Doctors guidance. The "withdrawal symptoms" days will depend on how long you have taking it, the longer the more days you will need. The concerning part is that the problem you started taking the medication for, like depression, could crash you and some people have become suicidal. Call your physician ASAP! ...Read more
