For11 lb infant, infant tylenol (acetaminophen) (concentration 160 mg/5ml) dose, is the correct dose 60 mg which is 1.8 ml ?
That is ok: 60mg is fine for that weight, but it's easier to use 2.0ml (64mg). An 11lb baby can take 75mg per dose, but parents should not use tylenol (acetaminophen) on a young baby unless the doctor already knows about the symptoms and has agreed that tylenol (acetaminophen) should be used. ...Read more

My son is ten and weighs 130 lbs. He was prescribed Amoxicillin 400 mg/5 ml suspension. 2 1/2 teaspoons once daily. Is this the correct dosage?
No: The standard dose of Amoxicillin is 25-50 mg/kg/24 hours divided into three (every 8 hours) or 2 (every 12 hours) doses per day. Your child is getting 1000 mg once a day. He should be getting between 800 and 1600 mg per dose twice a day. Perhaps the physician meant to write for 1,000 mg twice a day and the RX was mistyped. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

Started having interdose withdrawals with 2 mg of Ativan divided dose. --dr switched me to 1 mg of klonopin (clonazepam) divided dose ..does this make sense?

Furthermore, Klonopin (clonazepam) is easier to manage and tolerate than Ativan because it has a longer half life, or a longer time that its chemicals remain effective in the human body. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
