Breakthrough bleeding on pill getting heavier after 14 days of bleeding & 16 days being on pill for first time. Will this stop on my pill free wk?
Probably not: You are having breaktroughbleeding caused by the external hormones you are taking. Ask your doctor to see if he/she would recommend stopping for 5 days now, then restarting a new pill strip or have you take two pills a day for a few days. This may stop the bleeding you are experiencing. Sometimes a different pill will help also. ...Read more

Clear jelly like CM 2 days after withdrawal bleed stopped and on 7th inactive bc pill day. Ovulation??
Not necessarily : This most likely means higher estrogen level, which can be from ovarian activity, but not necessarily ovulation. If you missed some pills towards the end of the hormone pills, or you took antibiotics, or were ill, it could have allowed more ovarian activity than usual. Just to be safe, might want to use extra method of bc for seven days. ...Read more
Yes: Because the birth control pills on the market today are contain a low dose of estrogen compared to the progesterone, there is little to make the uterine lining grow so over time there becomes less lining to slough off with a period and periods tend to become shorter and lighter. This is considered to be a non-contraceptive benefit of the pill. Hope this helps. ...Read more

Hi! i'm skipping my period using triphiasic pill. Is heavy cramping normal? On day 6 of 2nd pack, when period'd normal start. No breakthrough bleeding
It is difficult: For you to do continuous birth control using a triphasil (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) pill since the estrogen levels change every week. If you want to do continuous birth control than i would recommend switching to a monophysite pill. The cramping, etc is coming from your body wanting to have your period and now hit with large doses of estrogen again. ...Read more
