Normal Symptoms After A Colonoscopy
I have a lot of gas and bloating. My colonoscopy came back normal this past March. Should I be concerned and what can I do to relieve the symptoms?
What are symptoms of an anal fistula? I'm having some itching and it seems like I can never wipe good.Had Normal colonoscopy and endoscope recently.
A number of symptoms: Symptoms of an anal fistula include skin irritation around the anus, a throbbing pain, and a discharge of pus or blood when you have a bowel movement. Get Colonoscopy ASAP: You are severely anemic! the source of blood loss must be defined and appropriate treatment given. If you are bleeding from the colon the could be a vascular malformation but the possibility of colon cancer must be ruled out. Don't wait, try to get the colonoscopy done asap. If negative then you may need a red cell labelled nuclear bleeding scan for further evaluation of site of bleeding. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Is it common to have on-off, sharp sore pain under the ribs and upper left part of the abdomen, with no other symptoms 3days post normal colonoscopy?
My calprotectin is 59. Other than occasional mild cramps, no diarrhea, constipation, blood or other symptoms. Other labs all normal. Colonoscopy time?
Not necessarily: I'm not sure why you had a fecal calprotectin performed if you have no symptoms other than cramping. Levels are elevated in inflammatory conditions of the gastrointestinal tract. If you have a family history of ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease a colonoscopy could be considered, but will likely be of low yield without additional symptoms. ...Read more
24y male. Colonoscopy two years ago (hemorrhoids found - gone now). Normal colonoscopy but polyp found, biopsy normal. Concerned over potentially missing future polyp / cancer.
Is blood in poo symptom/indicator always there? Or some dont get it?
Routine followup: Surveillance interval colonoscopy for screening depends upon your personal history of polyps or symptoms, or family history of colon cancer or polyps. Most persons with polyps do not have rectal bleeding, and thus the need for colon screening at age 50 for everyone. In this case, interval colonoscopy would be recommmended based on type of polyp, family history, or new bleeding. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
How likely is colon cancer in 31 year old? Doc said if CT Normal for RUQ pain then colonoscopy next. Is this necessary? No other symptoms
Perhaps not?: Generally speaking, a 31 year old patient with RUQ pain is unlikely to need a colonoscopy, especially if a CT is normal. It would be rare indeed for colon cancer to be causing these symptoms at your age. I assume you've had a normal abdominal ultrasound. If you haven't had an ultrasound that would be the first test to do before a CT. An online consultation at Health Tap might be helpful. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
